Around the world in 80 words – home

Some amazing new additions to the linky, so if you want to see what others think of this rock we live on then please check them out. I’m astonished so many people have got involved and truly appreciate it. The link is open for some time yet so please feel free to add as many as you want as often as you want.

If you don’t know what to do and want to join in, the rules are here.

Here’s my new one.

Home

For me home is a red brick house with a blue door. It’s not my home anymore, it’s my children’s home, but they say home is where the heart is.

Squeals of excitement once I’ve rung the doorbell. ‘Daddy, daddy. You’re back. I’ve missed you.’ ‘Daddy daddy.’

We play, eat, play. We laugh. We sing. We read stories, pull silly faces. Bathtime. Bedtime.

I say goodbye. My sad eyes looking back at me in the hallway mirror as I leave.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to join in. It can be anywhere you want.
